Meet Candice
Hi! I’m Candice, and I’m a Chicago-based photojournalist by training and visual storyteller at heart. I honestly can’t remember not using a camera to tell a story.
I started photographing at age four with a toy camera (see photo below), and at age six I started using my father's old Minolta SLR. Basically, I’ve been a photo geek my whole life!
I’ve worked as a photojournalist for 20 years for some of the largest publications in the country, and have taught photojournalism at Northwestern University for 12 years. As a staff photographer with the Chicago Tribune, I was part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2000. Photography has always been my passion, and I am so honored to be recognized for what I love to do.
Today, I use my experience in photojournalism to document the amazing moments that tell your story. I capture candid, honest and emotional moments between you and your loved ones — the big ones, the small ones, and the ones you almost didn’t remember.
Your wedding, family or special occasion deserves to be captured by a passionate and professional photojournalist who does more than take pretty pictures.
Your life is full of moments, it’s my job to document them.
