Everyone needs a Maggie and Dan in their lives. They’re so much fun, my face doesn’t even hurt from smiling when I’m around them. We had a great time in their Lakeview neighborhood, and I heart them so much I asked Maggie to write this blog post!

My mom’s favorite shot is, of course, the shot with Weasley in the foreground, with the doting couple fuzzy in the background. Classic. When Candice asked us “what do you guys like to do?” we went through an existential crisis, then arrived at the exact right answer. We like to cook and sing in our apartment, and head out for a pint. So for our photos, we did just that. On that day, (one of the HOTTEST in Chicago, of course,) we had a blast. Dan and I hung out in our spots on the couch. We played with the kitties, (Elizabeth was reluctant and Weasley served FIERCE furface.) We made our CLASSIC skillet pasta recipe to the Hamilton soundtrack, and then headed for the pub. There’s nothing quite like a tall cold pint with moisture beading on the glass on a hot day. Duke of Perth is the most legit Scottish pub in Chicago, and since we love it there and are headed to Scotland on our Honeymoon, it just felt right. Plus, we were thirsty. Candice captured us in exactly this moment, doing our favorite things, as ourselves.
