Downtown Chicago Engagement Photography: Kate and Matt

I photographed Kate and Matt’s engagement session around the Chicago Riverwalk and Trump Tower on a surprisingly cool and overcast day.   The folks at the Trump were so kind when we crashed their rooftop for photographs, instead of shooing us away, they brought out champagne for this beautiful couple!  Definitely a warm welcome!

 Kate and Matt laugh so much together and their laugh is contagious, it’s beautiful to be around such positive energy. I honestly love photographing couples who are so comfortable around each other, and so deeply in love that I really don’t have to pose them.   I enjoyed documenting them from afar, watching how they blended in with other Chicago residents and some rowdy skateboarders on the Riverwalk.  They still stand out, which is terrific, and I can still hear their laughter.
