Engagement sessions are done on location in downtown Chicago, in our studio, or at your home. They can be for a newly engaged couple or to celebrate many years together. As a Chicago engagement photographer, I like to customize each session for my clients, so we’ll be sure to talk beforehand and design a session that is custom for you. Maybe you met at a bar in the Chicago suburbs or went to school together at the University of Chicago? Maybe you love eating pretzels with spicy mustard at the baseball games. Do you love working out together, riding bikes along the Chicago lakefront, or watching old movies at home? We can document it! Let’s go to places that actually mean something to you, not just your typical Chicago landmarks!
Where did you go on your first date? Let’s go find moments at your favorite bar, coffee shop, let’s walk your dog, anything that you enjoy doing together! I specialize in wedding and engagement photography that is moment-driven and captures who you are. Instead of smiling for the camera, I prefer to document you two doing things you like to do together, so we can capture moments instead of posing. Chicago engagement sessions are photographed at least an hour or two before sunset, so we can maximize our outdoor time together with beautiful light and color. We can end our engagement session East along the Chicago lakefront, capturing the two of you with our city’s beautiful skyline.
Photography is about light, color, and moment. By focusing on your specific likes, we can capture moments during your engagement portrait session.
