Chicago Engagement Photography: Nicole and Anthony

I met Nicole and Anthony on a brisk day in Wrigleyville for their Chicago engagement session.  Okay, it wasn’t brisk, it was pretty cold!  Thankfully, it was also quite lovely outside, and these two troopers braved the cold in the name of killer engagement photographs.

We began our photo session at Wrigleyville’s Pick Me Up Cafe for coffee.  We then ducked into a colorful alley that featured a beautiful mural.  Accompanying me was Emily Madigan, one of my students at Columbia College, who graciously carried my light and gear while we toured the neighborhood for photographs.

Finally, we ducked into O’Hagan’s Pub to warm up.  The silhouette photograph of Nicole and Anthony was shot in this Irish Pub, while we enjoyed liquid pick me ups.

If I was interested in posing my clients and having them smile for the camera, we could have finished this session in 10 minutes.  Thank you, Nicole and Anthony, for letting me show you what moment-driven portraiture is, and for braving the cold Chicago wind for some fun moments I won’t forget.  Cannot wait for your wedding at the Bridgeport Art Center!  I’m sure it will be warmer!
