Downtown Chicago Engagement Session: Jennifer and Kenneth

Jennifer and Kenneth have a beautiful engagement story.  Kenneth, with plenty of patience and an eye for detail, planned a surprise scavenger hunt for his sweetheart, taking her to places that are meaningful to them, and leaving thoughtful clues.  Meanwhile, he stayed one step ahead of her.  The hunt ended at the beautiful Chicago Boarding House, where he popped the question with their friends and family in attendance.  While brainstorming locations for their downtown Chicago engagement session, we agreed this was the place to start!

We ventured to the basement of the Boarding House and were surprised to find a beautiful metallic wall, just waiting to be photographed.  Jennifer and Kenneth also are fans of fun colors, so we ventured to some funky yellow walls in Chicago’s Goose Island.  These downtown dwellers have crazy work schedules, live in the heart of the city and still find time to laugh together, which makes them such fun to be around.  And, despite having a boring, overcast Chicago evening, I’m happy we were able to bring some light, fun colors, and their personalities into their engagement photographs.
